Homoeopathics

Homoeopathic medicines are incredibly useful remedies that seek to stimulate the body's natural healing abilities.

A wide range of conditions can be treated, ranging from those which are fairly mild in nature, such as childhood falls with bruising, to the severly traumatic.

Are Homoeopathics Safe? Yes. Homoeopathic remedies do not produce unsafe side effects. They are not habit forming and can be used safely with conventional and other natural medicines.

Homoeopathics remedies can be used during pregnancy but you will need to check with you Health Care Practitioner if you are in your first trimester (3 months). These remedies can also be used safely by breast feeding mothers, children, the elderly and infirmed. Thus the use of homoeopathic remedies for the treatment of physical, chemical and emotional disturbances satisfies many people's need for a gentler, effective approach to health care.

How are Homoeopathic Remedies Made?

The natural ingredients are derived from plant, mineral and animal sources. The ingredients are then soaked in a solution of alcohol and water to absorb out the neccessary chemicals.

These are then 'potentised' which involves dilution of the original preparation 100 times. Then 1 part of this 100 is further diluted and this process is repeated until the required dosage is achieved.

Meanwhile at each stage the mixture is vigorously shaken which actually changes the physical make-up of the water molecules and makes them more potent.

Instructions

Tablets and pills should be placed under the tongue and allowed to dissolve. After 30 seconds they can be chewed and swallowed.

Oral liquids may be taken directly under the tongue and held for 30 seconds before swallowing or added to water and sipped slowly.

Homoeopathic remedies are best taken between meals: half hour before or 1 hour after.

Avoid taking homoeopathics after alchol, tobacco, spicy foods or toothpaste.

Children under 12 years should take half the recommended adult dosage.

If you are in your first trimester of pregnancy, consult your Health Care Practitioner before use.
